Diageo Montgomery:
In Montgomery, Alabama, Diageo is establishing a new 360,000 sq ft manufacturing and warehousing facility to support supply chain resilience and growth, featuring advanced technology for efficiency and sustainability.
Context/Scope:
The Montgomery operation produces a diverse range of spirits and ready-to-drink cocktails. The Quality Team ensures compliance with regulations and standards such as ISO 9001 and FSSC 22000. The Quality Team Leader supervises daily quality operations, including sensory, analytical, and microbiological analyses, and collaborates with production staff to meet quality standards.
Purpose of Role:
The Quality Team Leader develops, implements, and monitors policies, procedures, and training to support the site quality agenda, focusing on safety, compliance, decision-making, and quality improvement initiatives.
Key Outputs:

• Champion food safety and personnel safety to ensure a safe workplace and food-safe products.
  
• Lead shift operations for quality, ensuring processes meet specifications.
  
• Manage Quality Technicians on assigned shifts, providing resources and support.
  
• Monitor activities including product evaluation, formula adherence, and ingredient analysis.
  
• Coordinate with vendors to ensure component compliance.
  
• Oversee product holds and disposition processes.
  
• Lead quality projects to enhance systems and programs.
  
  Qualifications and Experience Required:
  

• 
  
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in Packaging, Chemistry, or related field, or five years' experience in quality within a bottling company.
  
• Strong communication, organization, analytical skills, and ability to multitask.
  
• Proven leadership with at least two years of team management experience.
  
• Knowledge of TTB and state regulations, ISO 9001, FSSC 22000 standards is a plus.
  
• Flexibility to work nights and weekends in a 24/7 operation.
