Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1 years
Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required.

considered. This opportunity seeks an experienced Teacher of the
Deaf/Hard of Hearing to support students in an educational setting
within Kent, Washington. The ideal candidate will have a passion
for fostering communication skills and academic growth among
students with hearing impairments, providing tailored instruction
and guidance. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement
individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with hearing
loss. Utilize specialized teaching methods and assistive
technologies to enhance learning. Collaborate with
multidisciplinary teams, including audiologists, speech therapists,
and classroom teachers. Conduct assessments and monitor student
progress regularly. Provide support and training to families to
facilitate effective communication at home. Participate in ongoing
professional development and stay current with best practices in
deaf education. Travel as needed to serve students across multiple
locations. Qualifications and Experience: Certification or
licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing. Strong
knowledge of audiological management and assistive listening
devices. Demonstrated experience working with children who are deaf
or hard of hearing. Ability to work collaboratively with families
and educational teams. Flexibility and willingness to relocate to
Kent, WA. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
