Key Responsibilities:Performs electrical, PLC, and process control troubleshooting at an advanced and expert level, calibrating, and maintaining all electrical and instrumentation equipment that includes motors, motor controls, switch-gear, transmitters, UPS, process controls systems, and PLC?sUnder general supervision, diagnoses, repair, maintenance and reconditioning, in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer's specifications of manufacturing machinery and mechanical equipment, and production machines, using hand tools, power tools, precision-measuring devices and testing instrumentsPerforms technical assessments, instrumentation and control support functions for the plant operationsWorks independently, providing assistance and leadership to the team members Performs self-directed reactive and planned maintenance which includes but is not limited to:?Observing machinery in operation to locate and identify root cause of problem

Dismantling devices to gain access to and remove defective partsExamines parts to detect imperfections, and identify contributing causesAdjustment of functional parts of machinery and control instrumentsRepair and/or replacement of defective partsTesting of machinery to observe performanceUpdates computerized data bases, identifies supplies and repair items as necessary, performs simple welding tasksActs as a proactive project leader and works closely with planner/schedulerAnalyzes and recommends engineered solutions to failuresLays out, wire, builds, and troubleshoots electrical panels and/or other machinery to plant standardsMay be required to setup and operate multiple machining operations including but not limited to: lathe, mills, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair partsSupports the overall maintenance requirements of the facility by working on maintenance work order backlog as assigned by supervisor.Supports PM days and Maintenance outages as needed.? Work assignments associated will not be limited to the E&I focus during these focused maintenance outages.?
Minimum Requirements:Associates degree with a Technical focus from a two-year college or technical institution5-7 years? experience in heavily automated maintenance3-5 years Electronics and Controls ExperienceProgrammable logic controllers, data acquisition systems, and Windows-based computer systems and programs.Process control instrumentation and system configuration.Provides leadership and training to other maintenance technicians while instilling a team environment.A strong work ethic, high motivation, the ability to work with minimal guidance, and the desire to work and succeed in a rigorous and challenging business environmentAbility to use advanced diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and/or repair electrical or mechanical failuresRead and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsWrite routine reports and correspondenceMust be able to work overtime and 12-hour shifts
