The HVAC 1 performs engineering duties in accordance with
hospital policy and procedure. This person is to be knowledgeable
in all areas of HVAC-R maintenance and installation. air
conditioning (split, package, v.a.v. and central air handling
units), heating (hot water boilers, steam boilers, hot water
converters, electric and heat pumps), chill water systems, ice
machines (cubers & flakers), refrigeration (refrigerators
&walk-in coolers Must solder and braze proficiently. Will
perform steam, water, control air and refrigerant piping, as well
as all kinds of duct work installation and repair (round, square,
insulated, supply and exhaust). Other responsibilities include
performing routine tests. fire alarm, sprinkler drop tests,
Emergency generator load test, emergency battery lighting test,
line isolation test and new equipment inspections. Other work will
include a variety of different tasks requiring knowledge in
plumbing, electrical and building maintenance. Education High
School Diploma or GED Experience One year of related experience.
Requires a working knowledge of standard practices and procedures.
Licenses & Certifications *Driver's License *Refrigerant Trans.
Rec. Cert. Qualifications *Combined one-year HVAC experience or
certified HVAC education required. *Must be legally able to drive
in the State of Georgia. Clean motor vehicle record. *Read --
Ability to read safety rules instructions in the use and
maintenance of tools and equipment, ability to read and interpret
written instructions (Work Orders) *Speak -- Ability to speak
clearly and distinctly primarily to convey problems and work status
to others. *Write -- Ability to summarize work progress in work
order form, write for content more important than grammatical
