Job Description:
Ecore International has an exciting opportunity for a
multi-craft industrial electrician/mechanic to become an
Electro-mechanic II in our Columbus, GA facility.The
Electro-mechanic II takes a lead role when working with electrical
systems and maintenance teams. This position is responsible for
performing electrical and mechanical installations, maintaining,
troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment, understanding
of Programmable Logic Controlled (PLC) systems, ladder logic and
have the ability to troubleshoot. In addition, this position will
support the overall facility maintenance including but not limited
to: basic plumbing, basic construction, painting, etc. Using their
experience and strong work ethic, they will take complete ownership
of the job; planning work around production schedules, working with
a sense of urgency to focus on ensuring continuous production. They
will have a genuine desire to complete assigned tasks safely and
efficiently, utilizing good work practices as part of a maintenance
team or when working independently with minimal supervision. This
position must adhere to and promote all safety policies and
procedures including, but not limited to the proper handling of
hazardous waste, lock out - tag out rules and hearing and eye
protection policies. Additional responsibilities will include:
periodic training of proper system and machine operation and
maintenance, assistance with creating SOP and other related
documentation and cross-training into other job functions as
needed. This position requires routine attendance to departmental,
production, safety and Company meetings.Duties and

TimeDescriptionE30%Electrical Maintenance:--- Perform testing,
diagnostic, maintenance and revision (programming) work on machine
tools and systems including: NC and CNC controls, PLC hardware and
software, control circuits, electro/mechanical systems, hydraulic
and pneumatic systems--- Perform maintenance and repairs on plant
power distribution systems--- Apply electrical knowledge to
research and identify electrical components and partsE30%Corrective
and breakdown maintenance of all equipment: Repair and maintain
machinery, mechanical and electrical equipment in accordance with
diagrams, sketches, operating manuals, manufacturers'
specifications or supervisor's instructions, using hand and power
tools, precision measuring or testing devices.--- Diagnose machine
malfunction and determine the need for adjustment or repair---
Dismantles machine or equipment to examine parts for defect or to
remove defective part--- Replaces defective part with new part or
repairs or reproduces part--- Assembles and test operates machine
to verify correction of malfunctionBasic fabrication and repair of
all necessary equipmentE15%--- Maintains and lubricates machine
tools and equipment, following preventive maintenance schedule to
ensure all machinery is in good, safe working order--- Preventative
maintenance on all equipmentE10%Maintains and repairs physical
structures of buildings and maintains grounds (including snow
removal, basic plumbing, HVAC and basic carpentry,

proper machine installation with minimal direction from engineering

and Abilities Required:--- Associates Degree in Electro-mechanics
(or similar area of study) or Apprenticeship in Electromechanical
Maintenance or High School Diploma/GED and equivalent years of
experience (5 years industrial electromechanical experience in a
similar working environment)--- 5+ years' experience and knowledge
of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and machine shop
tools and equipment--- Able to read, make and modify: electrical
line diagrams, schematics and blue prints--- Experience installing
and modifying Variable Frequency Drives (VFD); installing, trouble
shooting and programming PLC (Allen Bradley, etc.) and sequential
programming devices--- Experience with running conduit, relays,
terminations, controls wiring, and motor control experience---
Advanced knowledge of AC and DC motor drive controls--- Ability to
use all multi-meter, amp-meter, oscilloscope and other electrical
test tools necessary--- Knowledge and experience working on
hydraulic and pneumatic systems--- Strong problem solving
ability--- Ability to work well with a team as well as
independently--- Ability to work in a stressful environment (loud,
dirty, confined spaces, etc.)--- Strong computer skills including
MS Word and MS Excel--- Experience in major upgrades/revisions both
mechanically and with control systems--- Valid PA driver's license
with ability to drive 24,900lb box truck or flat bed with manual or
