Benefits Analyst needs 2+ years experience
Benefits Analyst requires:
Broad knowledge of the principles, practices, concepts, and federal
and state laws and regulations of human resources such as FMLA,
ADA, FLSA, EEOC , ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, ADA, OSHA, IRS code 125/129,
etc., and all applicable reporting requirements
Excellent oral, written, interpersonal communication, and team
facilitation skills to effectively
interact with senior management, and internal and external
Strong analytical and project management skills to interpret and
adapt known methods, regulations, system procedures, or operating
concepts to new situations
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of the following:
Benefits Analyst duties:
Proactively analyzes the benefits data and benefits enrollment
information in the HRIS system,
identifying inconsistencies and ineligibilities where further
research or enrollment / termination of enrollment is needed, and
creating / implementing corrective actions.
Utilizing reports from the HR/payroll system and billing invoices,
conducts audits of enrollments and payroll deductions and payments
made to vendors.
Leverages understanding of benefits and benefit data integrations
with carriers and consistently
audits the transfer of information to vendors.
Develops analytic reports related to benefit plan and eligibility
and cost analysis.
Ensures compliance with applicable laws, rules, regulations that
impact benefit plans including ACA reporting; creates and submits
reports to meet regulatory compliance requirements
Use established policies and procedures, and in accordance with
federal, state and municipal
regulations and guidelines, assists in coordinating the
administration of Family Medical Leave
(FML) and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) leave programs, and
other employee leave programs, including personal leave and
Coordinates and administers the drug and alcohol testing program;
notifies employees of time and date to report for testing; may
participate in termination of employees violating the drug and
Assists with annual 401(k) and Health Plan audit as needed
