Northrop Grumman is seeking a Behavioral Research Scientist 2to join our dynamic and diverse team environment in Columbus, Georgia.The Behavioral Research Scientist will lead the planning and execution of Army research efforts in support of the US Army Research Institute (ARI) and other government agencies. Job Duties: Conduct research using behavioral science principles, methodologies, and technologies in an applied governmental setting Develop research designs, performing literature reviews, collecting field data, conducting interviews, analyzing existing databases, and conducting statistical or descriptive analyses Describe results of research through briefings and technical reports and be able to work cooperatively with team members to ensure quality, timeliness, and accuracy of research products Interface with customers and sponsors to meet their requirements and assist in the implementation of research findings and products Apply appropriate techniques to analyze data, draw conclusions from the results, and provide sound recommendations that meet the customer requirements Present to Army personnel, observe training events, capture details of training events, and assess training outcomes Work as part of a team, devise analytical approaches, develop data collection instruments, and collate data from various sources Apply excellent writing skills in the development oftechnical, scientific research documentsBasic Qualifications: ABachelor's degree with a minimum of 3 years of related writing and research experience or a Master's degree with a minimum of 1 year of related writing and research experience Experience demonstrating strong writing and analytic skills Experience conducting applied research in an Army setting or active duty Army experience The ability to work in a team setting with scientists, technical writers, information technology specialists, policy makers and Government stakeholders AUS Citizenship with the ability to obtain a US Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance Preferred Qualifications: A minimum of 10 years' experience with the U.S. Army or applied research experience in an Army setting A Master's Degree in Psychology, Operations Research, Business, or Education Extensive experience with military research programs Experience working with technical reports, research reports or other reports as the primary author Experience managing personnel and projects A current US Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance
