Supervise and maintain the daily operation of the Patient Access Services / Admitting functions, to include: patient registration, insurance verification & authorization, finance, operations, and team enhancement. Lead the assigned team of associates, ensure proper staffing levels, employees are trained and informed of all procedures, and appropriate Quality Control checks are performed. Maintain communication with patients, physicians, information systems, ancillary departments, and administration to assess and resolve patient registration issues. FLSA: Exempt EEO: 01 Officials and Managers X 02 Professionals 03 Technicians 04 Sales Workers 05 Administrative Support Workers 06 Craft Workers 07 Operatives 08 Laborers and Helpers 09 Service Workers Minimum Education X High school diploma or equivalent X Required Minimum Education X Graduate of a Program in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field X Preferred Required Skills Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Required Skills Certifications: X Certified Patient Account Representative (CPAR) preferred X Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) preferred Minimum Work Experience Four (4) years of Patient Access / Patient Registration experience. Education beyond that required may be applied in lieu of two (2) years of the experience requirement.
