Licensed Unarmed Security OfficerObjectives of this Role:Ensure a safe environment through a team effort of diligent active patrol, strict access control, monitoring, and equipment controlVisible and observant at all times, greeting staff, guests, and vendors in a courteous and attentive mannerRespond immediately to distress calls, panic alarms, and emergency calls for disorderly conduct, disruptive persons, and incidents swiftly and appropriatelyCollaborate with area manager to smoothly operate sitesWork well with team members and identify areas that need improvementsQualification Requirements:High School Diploma or equivalentBe at least 18 years of ageHave a valid Driver's License (required if driving a company vehicle)Must have clean criminal background/ and pass drug testPreferred Skills and Experience:Attention to detail is a plus1-year security experience preferred, but not requiredAble to assess and evaluate situations effectivelyMust be able to stand/sit for long periods of time as well as ability to ascend and descend stairs with loads up to 50 lbs.Proficiency with computers, and aptitude to learn new software and systemsAble to answer phones and/or operate a 2-way radioImpeccable character/integrityEKG Security is a professional security company looking for highly motivated and competent individuals to undertake the surveillance of our clients, their premises and protection of staff and visitors.
