Job Description:
The Buyer strategically procures non-production materials
(Maintenance, Repair and Operating 'MRO' materials) and capital
equipment for fleet and repair & maintenance services and increases
the amount of digitalization of procurement using eProcurement
tools.Responsibilities Ensures compliance with all purchasing
policies and guarantees that the company is getting the best ROI
while utilizing the most appropriate vendors.Develop, share, and
implement category industry knowledge and best practices for NPM
and Capex sourcing.Analyze MRO and indirect spend and identify
opportunities for cost savings, contract improvements, risk
mitigation and improved compliance with standards, policies, and
contracts.Achieve year over year pricing improvements and record
cost avoidance measurements.Drive increased usage of eProcurement
tools using e-catalogs to facilitate user interface and reduce the
touch points in the NPM process.Monitor and provide guidance on
procurement processes for MRO and indirect materialsManage supplier
performance and improve user experience by utilizing Vendor
Management System.Seek value added vendors to eliminate waste or
improve user experience.Ensure compliance with Corporate Purchasing
Procedures and Policies.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to
build and maintain trust and strong relationships with
stakeholders, vendors and business partners.Ability to manage
multiple projects simultaneously while still maintaining
qualityStrong verbal and written communication skills, with the
ability to communicate and present to others in an
efficient/effective mannerAbility to establish and maintain
effective working relationships with other personnel and management
and ability to work seamlessly with Operations and Sales
functionsEnterprise thinker - ability to understand how their work
fits into/enhances the broader enterprise objectivesAbility to
exercise good judgment and discretion in applying and interpreting
rules, regulations, policies, and proceduresCreative
problem-solving mindset with and attention to detail and financial
responsibilityStrong proficiency with Microsoft Office
suiteEducation and Experience:Bachelor's Degree in supply chain
management, procurement, business management, or a related
field.Minimum of 3 years' experience in purchasing or procurement,
including experience in a manufacturing environment using ERP
systemsExperience developing and managing electronic catalogs for
indirect itemsExperience conducting spend analysis; disaggregating
complex spend information into actionable insights.Preferred
Qualifications CPM, CPSM or ASQ certificationsMS NAV
