Job Description:

Major Duties and Responsibilities Benefits Supplemental Questions

Serves as initial contact person for all prospective customers; coordinates with customers in the determination of services and fees; determines audio-visual and sound equipment requirements, table types and sizes, electrical needs, and stage requirements. Prepares and executes contractual documents associated with events. Informs customers concerning food and beverage availability; refers customers to Catering Service; assists in the determination of location of food and bar locations. Assists in managing operational aspects of the facility as Manager on Duty. Advise customers of facility policies and procedures in regards to safety requirements, business license requirements, and liability insurance. Estimates charges for all contractual services; establishes deposit fees and ensures collection of the same; prepares billing information at conclusion of event. Provides related departments with customer requirements through event work orders; contacts outside agencies to provide customers with additional goods and services. Conducts pre-event inspections. Maintains event files and records. Carries out a continuous effort to improve operations, work processes, and works cooperatively and jointly to provide continuous improvement and customer-driven service. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of facility rules and regulations. Knowledge of the principles of accounting. Skill in implementing policies and procedures. Skill in problem solving and decision-making. Skill in management and supervision. Skill in operating standard office equipment including computers and related software programs. Skill in oral and written communication.

Minimum Educational and Training Requirements:

Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of specialized training in the occupational field, in addition to basic skills typically associated with a high school education. Experience sufficient to thoroughly understand the work of subordinate positions and to be able to answer questions and resolve problems, usually associated with one to three years experience or service. Must possess a valid Driver's License.

Physical Requirements:

The work is typically performed while intermittently sitting, standing, bending, crouching, walking, or stooping. The employee frequently lifts light and heavy objects, climbs ladders, uses tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity, and must be able to distinguish between shades of color. The work is typically performed in an office, stockroom, or warehouse.
