April 2021 Salary/Wage: Annual Salary/Wage Range: $26.99 - $39.59
Hourly (Classified Hourly Pay Grade 17) This position is funded by
the May 2020 Bond Measure 20-306. This position is funded for
approximately seven years. Hourly wage reflects an approximate
annual salary of $56,148 to $82,342
- Lane's robust Benefits package includes a generous contribution

insurance, long term disability, vacation leave, personal time and
paid sick leave.
- All employees are compensated through electronic direct
deposit.
- New employees may not be placed on the salary schedule higher
than any current employee in this Classification with the same or
greater number of years relevant experience. Working Schedule:
Generally Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Occasional
weekend and evening hours may be required.
- Eight (8) years in construction with at least three (3) of
those years in a project management role. Conditions of Employment:
- Successful applicants are required to pass a criminal
background check.
- Lane employees must work and reside in the state of Oregon at
the time their work is being performed. Preferred Education
Bachelor's degree in building construction management,
architecture, or engineering. Preferred Experience
- Experience coordinating construction and major maintenance
projects for a public agency.
- LEED Accredited Professional.
- Construction Specifications Institute ( CSI )
Certification.
- APPA EFP or CEFP . Multicultural experience and bilingual
proficiency in world languages are preferred. A demonstrated
commitment to promote and enhance the concepts of social justice
and culturally competent behaviors is expected. Equivalency
Statement: Equivalent combination of training and experience will
be considered for meeting minimum qualifications. Applicants are

would qualify them for the position. Position Purpose: To
coordinate construction, renovation and major maintenance projects
from preparing and administering the project budget, programming,
scheduling, and procuring through final closeout, occupancy,
commissioning, and warranty period. Essential Functions:
- Prepares or assists in the preparation of Requests for Proposal
(RFPs) and participates in the selection of consultants,
contractors, vendors, and other service providers.
- Develops recommendations for construction delivery
methods.
- Prepares for and conducts meetings to facilitate selection
processes.
- Assists with negotiation and review of design and construction
contracts.
- Coordinates programming, design, bidding, construction, close
out, and warranty phases of new facilities, renovations, and major
maintenance projects.
- Concurrently coordinates multiple simple to complex projects
from assignment through project close-out.
- Coordinates collaborative project development process and
serves as primary project liaison for the entire project team which
may consist of architects, engineers, project user groups, support
personnel, institutional service units, contractors, and regulatory
agency representatives.
- Facilitates projects to be on schedule and on budget while also
meeting the needs of users.
- Oversees work of external and internal consultants for assigned
projects.
- Ensures that designs are consistent with planned objectives,
relevant regulations, college core values and strategic directions,
facilities standards, and the facilities master plan.
- Reviews projects for constructability, code compliance, and
completeness of documentation.
- Inspects construction to monitor progress and ensure
conformance to plans and specifications.
- Prepares reports on project progress identifying problems,
solutions, milestones, financial cost projections, and
analyses.
- Oversees the planning and installation of furniture, fixtures,
equipment, and art.
- Coordinates occupant relocation of staff displaced during
remodels and move-in to new or renovated facilities.
- Provides and/or coordinates training opportunities and other
events for staff and target audiences that are related to project
goals.
- Receives, reviews, corrects and approves pay requests from
consultants, contractors, and vendors.
- Reviews, negotiates, and processes change requests and change
orders.
- Coordinates project administrative support activities including
development and maintenance of job files.
- Develops, administers and tracks the project budget and assures
that required budget and/or progress reports are prepared in a
timely manner.
- Coordinates facilities disruptions that are necessary for
project completion such as utility outages and road closures.
- Takes responsibility for collaborating and communicating with
college community regarding closures and other project phases that
affect campus users.
- Monitors and facilitates resolution of contract disputes and/or
claims.
- Provides purchasing support to projects as needed, including
requesting quotes, evaluating request for quotes ( RFQ ), preparing
purchase order requests, and tracking invoices related to purchase
orders.
- Ensures permitting processes are completed and followed.
- Ensures compliance with all local, state and federal agency
regulations, policies and procedures.
- Establishes relationships with individuals, coalitions, private
and public agencies working with issues related to the goals of the
project.
- Coordinates with other agencies to ensure that the college's
obligations are met; works with representatives of state, federal,
and/or local agencies on delivering services.
- Monitors OSHA compliance on job sites and communicates with
contractor regarding issues.
- Support Lane's core value of sustainability by advocating for
and implementing sustainable practices and/or the LEED green
building rating system in projects.
- Problem solve and manage sensitive information with appropriate
awareness of FERPA standards; maintain confidentiality and
sensitivity to the privacy needs of students.

in this position may coordinate and lead the work of other
full-time and part-time classified staff as well as student
workers. Physical Demands/Working Environment:
- Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of average-weight
objects up to 25 pounds or standing and/or walking for more than
four (4) hours per day.
- Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical
risks, which require following basic safety precautions such as
wearing a hard hat, reflective vest, safety glasses, ear plugs, and
closed toed shoes.
- Work includes visits to existing facilities and construction
sites, and may involve in-state travel to branch campuses and/or
other remote locations.
- Ability to climb, access roofs, and conduct inspections in
underground tunnels.
- Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as
extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors,
and/or loud noises.
- This position works indoors and is exposed to usual office
working conditions that includes office noises and interruptions,
such as printers, telephones, and visitors.
- This position requires that an employee be able to sit or stand
