Job Description:
The Chief Architect is a leadership role responsible for laying
out the vision for the next-generation architecture and engineering
capabilities for Deluxe’s products & platforms. The individual will
lead Enterprise Architecture practice at Deluxe with a strong focus
on establishing Integrated Payments Platforms and help in the
technology evolution of Deluxe Payments business. This role will
lead a team of architects, mentor technical leads and collaborate
with other delivery and engineering leaders to build a vibrant
product delivery organization. Responsible to set the technical
architectural direction, technology best practices, long-term
technology vision, and guiding principles for product development.
Serve as the Architecture leader for the business in partnership
with Product, Engineering, and Business leadership. Frame technical
or architectural alternatives in business terms, clearly
articulating both business and technical implications of various
options. Responsible for defining and establishing Integrated
Payment Platform Blueprint, guide in establishing the
next-generation technology ecosystem to support Payment Business
growth. Lead and manage a team of architects, who provide
architectural stewardship for the software products delivered by
the business. Recruit, coach, develop and manage a software
architecture team. Champion sound architectural solutions and
effectively advocate for them at Product Delivery & Executive
level. Champion technology- and architecture-related investments,
advocate for the priority of this work with Product, Business, and
Engineering counterparts. Align with the Enterprise architecture
teams. Partner with rest of the Product Delivery organization in
delivering scalable, resilient and interopable solutions that can
easily integrate with Partners & Customer ecosystem. Support
organization on continuous improvement, Agility, efficient &
effective product delivery. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree
in computer science or related field 15 years of experience in
Agile Software Development Life Cycle, and significant experience
in delivering applications and architecture services in a
production environment 10 years of experience in software
architecture and multi-tiered enterprise application 5 years of
experience in software leadership roles with increasing
responsibility 5 years of people leadership experience Experience
in a senior role with an architecture group, demonstrating
knowledge in at least three of the following areas: Enterprise
Architecture, Solution Architecture , Cloud (preferably AWS)
Architecture, Technical/Infrastructure Architecture, Design
Patterns, Messaging, Mobile Applications, and Multi-Tenant
Architecture Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in computer
science, engineering, or related field 10 Years of Payment Industry
experience with extensive experience in leading Payment
Architecture Strong Payment Industry knowledge with a good
background on Payment Products, Payment Business Ability to
influence management, key decision-makers and highly technical
resources Ability to interface effectively and collaborate with
peers and management to develop solutions and ensure stakeholder
buy-in Customer driven to understand and appropriately respond to
customers’ business needs Critical thinking skills, ability to
accurately analyze information and make sound decisions quickly
Demonstrated ability to take initiative and accountability for
achieving results. Self-starter/Self-directed Strong interpersonal,
oral and written communication skills 5 years of experience in
software architecture and multi-tiered enterprise application
Compensation The compensation range for this position is
$190,000.00 - $220,000.00 annually. This position will be eligible
for commission or an annual performance incentive plan. The base
pay actually offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge,
skills, location, experience and take into account internal equity.
