Job Description:
Aramark is seeking a dedicated and passionate Catering Chef to
join our Food & Beverage Operations team. The ideal candidate will
bring creativity and excellence to our dynamic culinary
environment, contributing to the diverse culinary needs of our
clients ranging from institutions and universities to hospitals. As
a Catering Chef, you will be responsible for delivering
high-quality, delicious, and beautifully presented food, aligning
with Aramark's commitment to service excellence and innovation.
Plan and prepare menus for catering events, ensuring varied, tasty,
and innovative dishes that meet the nutritional standards and
preferences of our clients. Lead a team of kitchen staff in the
preparation, cooking, and presentation of meals for events. Ensure
adherence to all health and safety regulations within the kitchen
environment. Manage food purchasing, storage, and inventory control
to minimize waste and ensure freshness. Collaborate with event
coordinators to understand client expectations and deliver
outstanding service. Continuously update and refine menus based on
client feedback and emerging food trends. Train and mentor kitchen
staff on culinary techniques and the highest standards of food
safety and cleanliness. Strong culinary and cooking skills,
including knowledge of various cuisines and dietary restrictions.
Excellent leadership and team management skills. Ability to work
efficiently under pressure during high-volume periods. Strong
planning and organizational skills. Impeccable attention to detail
and creativity in menu design and food presentation. Certified
Executive Chef (CEC) designation by the American Culinary
Federation (ACF) preferred. ServSafe Food Handler certification
required. Certified Professional Food Manager designation is a
plus.
