Services is seeking the position of an Armed Security Lieutenant
Commander in West Point, Georgia. -Armed Security Lieutenant
CommanderThe Armed Security Lieutenant Commander is responsible for
the shift activities of all Security Officers assigned on his/her
shift. This position will ensure that all posts and patrols are
covered, that all assigned personnel conform to the appropriate
regulations, that all assigned shift duties are performed, and
direct the actions of Vendor personnel during any event not covered
by written regulations. -Vendor's Shift Supervisors will be
required to perform required supervisory responsibilities and other
duties as may be assigned and/or required. Any person proposed for
assignment in a supervisory capacity must have at least 1 - 3 years
prior experience in a similar role as a security guard supervisor
with satisfactory performance or have been recommended by Client
for such supervisory position. The Shift Security Supervisor will
have a minimum of 1 - 3 years of supervisory law enforcement,
military experience, private security, or corporate security
experience prior to be assumed to the site. Vendor will submit
detailed copies of resumes of the candidate prior to being assigned
to Client for review.Minimum Qualifications:Experience in
investigative techniques, problem resolution, conflict management,
and evidence handling. Vendor's Site Security Chief will provide
adequate training in these matters upon assignment and periodically
thereafter, and will verify the effectiveness of such training
through appropriate post-training assessments. -Ability to qualify
and carry a firearm. -Excellent verbal and written communication
skills in English. -Current CPR and First Aid training certificate.
-Capable of handling the physical requirements of the position. -At
least 21 years old at the time of assignment to facility. -Practice
normal hygiene and personal cleanliness and be neat in dress and
appearance. -Required state certification and/or licensing to carry
a firearm as an armed guard. Duties shall include, but are not
limited to, the following:
- All duties as previously stated for Security Officer, if
requested to do so by Clients Designee, or if required in order to
fulfill service obligations.
- Conduct shift briefings.
- Conduct unannounced post inspections.
- Ensure shift personnel are effectively trained and skills match
assigned duties.
- Ensure shift personnel are effectively trained and skills match

- Administer on-the-spot corrective action to any employee under
his/her command.
- Schedule officers when required and maintain time reports for
assigned shift.
- Issue security equipment and maintain accountability system for
it.
- Provide on-the-job training requirements for shift security
personnel.
- Write reports and maintain logs/forms as required.
- Collect and evaluate all reports submitted by security
personnel.
- Respond to problem situations as they occur, notifying Site
Supervisor of any escalation of issues.
- Respond to emergencies by taking necessary action in accordance
with established procedures, and promptly report the conditions and
initial response to Clients Designee, Client management
representatives, shift supervisor and/or local fire or police
agencies.
- Analyze security activities and recommend improvements to Site
Supervisor.
- Demonstrate proficiency in all of the tasks required of the
Security Officer.
- Demonstrate proficiency in the duties of each post under
his/her direction.
- Maintain communication both up and down the chain of command.
The Shift Supervisor will be accessible to all Officers under
his/her direction.
- Lead by example for personal conduct and appearance.
- Assist Security Officers in making appropriate decisions in
areas not covered by written directives. The results of these
decisions, where necessary, will be passed up the chain of
command.
- Ensure that all personnel are at their assigned posts at their
assigned times.
- In the event Vendor personnel respond to new events or
scenarios not contemplated by Post Orders, ensure that each
assigned Security Officer receives the required training and
direction passed on to the oncoming shift.
- Review and evaluate all written reports submitted by Security
Officers to ensure reports are correctly and properly
completed.
- Prepare inventory reports, forms, and equipment; reports to the
designated person(s) any needed materials or inoperable
equipment.
- Ensure all orders and instructions are understood and followed
by Security Officers.
- Perform all other Security Officer duties in accordance with
the particular shift specifications and assignments.
- Perform rover duties as needed throughout the
shift.Qualifications/Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age with high school diploma or
equivalent
- Possess effective written and oral communication and
interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of
personnel and the general public in a professional and effective
manner
- Valid guard card/license, as required in the state for which
you are applying. -
- As a condition of employment, employee must successfully
complete a background investigation and a drug screen in accordance
with all federal, state, and local laws
- Display exceptional customer service and communication
skills
- Have intermediate computer skills to operate innovative,
wireless technology at client specific sites
- Ability to handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly
and efficiently
- Must be able to handle pressure of working with high volume
general public (constantly to occasionally depending on
assignment)
- Able to:
- Work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow or
heat
- Occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds
- Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift
- Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of
timeEssential Duties:
- Ensures the facility is provided with high quality security
services to protect people and property
- Maintains proficiency in the use of all assigned protective
equipment, restraint devices and weapons
- Preserves order and acts to enforce regulations and directives
for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises
- Participates in industry specific security/safety training
programs to offer our clients the best trained officers at their
sites
- Works in environments and under conditions that require
carrying authorized weapons and ammunition, the use of protective
gear and devices, and awareness of personal safety and safety of
others
- Maintains awareness and familiarity with the site-specific
operations performance manual and post ordersThe Armed Security
Shift Supervisor will supervise and coordinate the delivery of
quality services on a specific shift at an assigned customer. An
Armed Security Shift Supervisor acts as a liaison between site
supervisor, Account Manager/Field Operations Manager and
professional security officers. They supervise staff on assigned
shift, providing coaching, recognition and discipline within
approved empowerment range.QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Be at least 21 years of age with high school diploma or
equivalent
- Possess effective written and oral communication and
interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of
personnel and the general public in a professional and effective
manner
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws
and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

- Assure that officers receive appropriate training, developing
them in both technical and professional skills
- Assure that employee grievances are heard with help from
appropriate district or region HR support employees and Account or
Operations Manager
- Administer JSA's and safety programs outlining site-specific
hazards for professional security officers on assigned shift
including vehicle/driving safety as appropriate to Corporate
procedures
- Assist Account or Operations Manager to manage uniforms,
equipment, supplies and vehicles utilized at the account,
maintaining appropriate inventories and maintenance checklists
- Able to:
- Work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow or
heat
- Occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds
- Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift
- Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of
