Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 04/20/2026 - Duration: 8 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview - Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs - Hours: 36 hrs/wk - Start Date: Apr 20, 2026 - Length: 8 weeks - Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Surgery/Trauma Med-Surg unit at a high-acuity Level 1 trauma center, requiring at least 2 years of specialty experience and Epic proficiency. Details - Position is on the Surgery/Trauma unit (6A) of a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center - Common diagnoses include spinal/neuro trauma, gunshot wounds, quadriplegia, and paraplegia - 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week - Travelers are expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month - Block scheduling is generally not approved - Epic EMR experience is required - No on-call requirements Requirements - Active RN license — GA state or Compact license required - Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience in specialty - Experience in high-acuity, high-volume trauma environments with complex and severe cases - Current BLS certification required - Epic EMR proficiency required - Candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered Additional Information - Care for high-acuity trauma patients including spinal/neuro surgical, gunshot wound, and mobility-impaired patients - This facility is a high-volume, inner-city Level 1 trauma center — candidates must demonstrate proven success managing critical, fast-paced, complex cases - No RTO (time off requests) will be approved for this assignment - Local candidates are accepted for this position American Traveler Job ID P-689840.
