This opportunity begins on Nov 1, 2025, with a minimum 30-day contract and offers a flexible schedule of 24-hour shifts, such as 4x24 or 3x24 per week. The physician will provide care in a critical access hospital environment and must be comfortable performing all lifesaving procedures. Job Details Location: Alabama Facility Type: Critical Access Hospital Start Date: Nov 1, 2025 LOA: 30 days Provider Type Needed: Emergency Medicine Physician Schedule: 24-hour shifts (7am-7am), options include 4x24 or 3x24 per week; cannot stack 24-hour shifts (e.g., Sunday 24h, Monday OFF, Tuesday 24h, Wednesday OFF, Thursday 24h, Friday OFF, Saturday 24h) Responsibilities and Duties Provide emergency medicine care in a critical access hospital Manage inpatient swing beds and inpatient psychiatric beds Oversee patient care in a 7-bed emergency department Perform all critical lifesaving procedures, including intubation, ventilator management, and line placement Collaborate with on-site and telehealth specialist coverage (Pediatrics, Lab, Diagnostic Radiology, Neurology, Psychiatry, Urology, General Surgery) Deliver care to a diverse patient population, including pediatric and adult patients Participate in clinic and hospital-based patient management as needed Additional Information Active Alabama medical license required Rural emergency medicine and trauma experience preferred Commitment to a minimum 3-month contract; ongoing need Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
