the Position Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession:
Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT Duration: 12 weeks
Shift: Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 06:30 - 19:00 Experience:
Minimum of 1 year; first timers accepted License: GA RRT License
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Must-Have: Trauma experience
required; preferred experience in pulmonary function testing
(Spirometry testing) Description: Minimum experience required is
one year. Candidates will work with a patient population that
includes infants to geriatrics. The position primarily focuses on
adult respiratory therapy but may involve care for pediatric
intubated patients. Responsibilities include managing non-invasive
ventilation and conventional ventilation. The therapist will
provide aerosol therapy and conduct bedside pulmonary function
tests. They will perform arterial lines and oxygen management,
provide patient education, and draw from lines. Additional
responsibilities include performing arterial blood gases and
capillary blood gases. Candidates must be able to manage trauma
cases. Experience in pulmonary function testing is preferred.
Familiarity with relevant equipment and technology is essential.
The role involves working with rapid response teams and
interdisciplinary support. All applicants must meet compliance
requirements to ensure timely start. Candidates are expected to be
available for major holidays during their assignment period.
