Psychiatrist to join our team at the Department of Veterans Affairs
in Montgomery, AL, Tuskegee, AL, Dothan, AL, Fort Rucker, AL,
Columbus, GA, and Monroeville, AL Qualifications and Requirements :
Education: Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree
resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic
medicine. Experience: 2 years Licensure/Certifications: Current,
full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a
State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the
District of Columbia. Must be a US Citizen; American Board of
Psychiatry and Neurology Board Certified/Board Eligible Residency
Training: Physicians must have completed residency training,
approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core
specialty training program leading to eligibility for board
certification. Duties & Responsibilities: Your basic
responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to: ยท
Clinically active in outpatient services, including walk-ins.
Integrated responsibilities including coverage of medical/surgical
consultation, coverage of inpatient services, compensation and
pension services, emergency room care, and geriatric services.
Provides active supervision and teaching for psychiatric residents
and other trainees as needed. Participates in quality improvement
initiatives and outcome data initiatives. Providing patient and
family health education with a focus on self-management, prevention
and wellness based on the patients goals. Provision of
Telepsychiatry services as needed. Provides on call duties as
assigned- WHEN (Weekends, Holidays, Evenings, and Nights) hours.
