Roles & Responsibilities Assess and continuously monitor adult and older adult patients on a 32-bed med/tele surgical unit Safely administer acute medications including heparin drips as ordered and follow all IV therapy protocols Perform telemetry monitoring and interpret cardiac rhythms to anticipate changes in patient condition Provide trauma-informed care and prioritize patient safety in fast-paced situations Document care thoroughly in EPIC EMR and ensure all demographic and badge photo requirements are loaded Collaborate with physicians, PT/rehab teams, and skilled nursing staff to support patient recovery Educate patients and families about care plans, discharge expectations, and rehabilitation needs Maintain ratio-based care (1:5) while triaging priorities, delegating appropriately, and escalating concerns Qualifications Active RN license for the state of Georgia or compact license as applicable Documented medical-surgical and telemetry experience required, please have checklist ready BLS and ACLS certifications required Comfort and experience with heparin drips and administration of acute medications Proficiency with EPIC EMR for documentation and medication administration Experience working with adult and older adult populations and trauma patients Prior NICHE training, skilled nursing or rehab experience is a plus Ability to provide care using specialty equipment such as gait belts, geriatric chairs and PT equipment Knowledge & Skills Patient monitoring and telemetry interpretation Medication administration and IV drip management Acute and trauma care principles EPIC EMR documentation and workflow Geriatric care needs and use of mobility aides like gait belts Collaborative care with rehab and skilled nursing teams Prioritization and time management in a 1:5 ratio environment Benefits Generous housing stipend to help you feel at home while you work away from home Medical, dental and vision coverage to keep you healthy on and off shift 401K retirement savings plan so you can plan for life after nursing Life insurance for peace of mind Paid time off to recharge and explore your assignment city Travel reimbursement to cover your relocation to Atlanta Licensure assistance and reimbursement to make credentialing easier Referral bonus program when you bring talented friends to the team A supportive multidisciplinary team that values your skills and input Travel Perks: Explore Atlanta, GA Welcome to Atlanta, a vibrant southern hub with something for every off-duty mood.
