Join Our Team as a Neonatologist in Macon, Georgia! Pediatrix is
seeking an additional Neonatologist to join our outstanding group
of Neonatologists and Neonatal Nurse Practitioners at our Macon,
Georgia practice. Enjoy working at the New Children's Hospital,
established in 2019, featuring a Level-III NICU and recognized as a
Magnet Hospital for Nursing Excellence! Atrium Health Navicent
Beverly Knight Olson Children s Hospital is the only dedicated
pediatric hospital in central and south Georgia, equipped with a
state-of-the-art 66-bed NICU. The facility offers high-frequency
ventilation, nitric oxide therapy, and brain cooling. With an
exceptional collaborative environment and readily available
subspecialty support, this is a perfect opportunity for a dedicated
physician innovating pediatric care. Job Responsibilities:
Participate in daily rounding with patient care responsibilities.
Provide care in a Level-III NICU environment. Work a schedule of 26
weeks per year, with one week on and one week off. Be on call from
home every other night. Collaborate with experienced Neonatal Nurse
Practitioners. Engage in clinical education with Mercer Medical
School. Qualifications: Board Eligible (within 5 years of
eligibility) or Board Certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
Georgia medical license (or willingness to obtain). DEA
certification must be obtained prior to starting. Note: We do not
accept locum tenens candidates or require visa support. License and
Certification Requirements: Board Certification or eligibility in
Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine (REQUIRED). Current Georgia medical
license or willingness to apply for one (REQUIRED). DEA
registration necessary before start date (REQUIRED). Discover the
