Job Description:
At Encompass Health Corporation, we are dedicated to providing
the highest level of comprehensive care, which includes
facilitating our patients' nutritional health. We are currently
seeking a skilled Dietitian who will be pivotal in providing
tailored nutritional counseling and creating diet plans that aid in
the rehabilitation and overall health of our patients within our
rehabilitation facilities and home health services. The ideal
candidate will be passionate about nutrition and committed to
enhancing patient outcomes through innovative dietary management.
Assess nutritional needs, diet restrictions and current health
plans to develop and implement dietary-care plans and provide
nutritional counseling. Consult with physicians and health care
personnel to determine nutritional needs and diet restrictions of
patients. Advise patients and their families on nutritional
principles, dietary plans and diet modifications, and food
selection and preparation. Monitor, document, and report the
progress of patient’s nutritional status. Create educational
materials that are beneficial for patient dietary education and
management strategies, ensuring alignment with treatment goals.
Collaborate with other healthcare providers to establish a
multidisciplinary approach towards patient health. Stay current
with the latest nutritional science research and incorporate
evidence-based strategies into patient care practices. In-depth
knowledge of human nutrition and the ability to create tailored
nutritional programs. Excellent interpersonal and communication
skills for interacting with patients, families, and other
healthcare professionals. Strong analytical skills and attention to
detail for thorough nutritional assessments. Ability to work
independently and multitask effectively in a dynamic environment.
Proficient in nutritional analysis software and electronic health
record systems. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance
401k Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or eligible for
registration. Licensed Dietitian status as required by state
law.
