Job Description:

Encompass Health Corporation, a leader in facility-based and home-based patient care, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietitian to join our interdisciplinary healthcare team. In this role, the successful candidate will be critical in providing nutritional expertise at our rehabilitation and hospice facilities to help optimize patient recovery and promote overall wellness. This position offers the unique opportunity to make a substantial impact on patient health through tailored diet planning and nutritional education tailored to individual patient needs across various settings within our organization. Assess dietary needs and health concerns of patients at inpatient rehabilitation hospitals and home health agencies. Create, implement, and monitor individualized meal plans that accommodate the specific health requirements of patients. Educate patients and their families on proper nutritional care and lifestyle changes. Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals such as physicians, nurses, and physical therapists to integrate dietary plans with overall patient care. Keep accurate and secure patient documentation and records. Regularly review and update patient care plans based on progress and changes in health status. Promote healthy eating habits through workshops and seminars for both patients and community members as a part of preventive health measures. Strong understanding of disease-related malnutrition and experience in nutritional intervention strategies Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Proficiency in nutritional analysis software and patient record systems Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential as provided by the Commission on Dietetic Registration Licensed Dietitian status as required by state law
