us! Your Role as Executive Director: As the Executive Director of
East Family YMCA, you’ll be at the helm of a thriving center,
managing a $1.5M annual budget and guiding a diverse range of
programs. From leading our staff to expanding our services, you’ll
play a crucial role in enhancing community engagement and driving
the YMCA’s mission forward. Qualifications Bachelors degree in
human services, business, social services or equivalent. Five or
more years of professional experience in the YMCA or another
nonprofit preferred. Knowledge and experience in all aspects of
operations, including staff supervision and development, successful
membership practices, quality program development and
implementation, volunteerism, facility and property management, and
sound financial practices. Understanding of the mission and cause
of the YMCA and the respective roles of volunteers and staff.
Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all
social and economic segments of the community; track record of
building authentic, constructive relationships with others. Ability
to handle multiple demands and priorities and achieve
organizational objectives. YMCA Multi-Team Leader certification
preferred. Experience in Aquatics and Youth Development preferred.
Experience in growing membership and AOA programs preferred.
Essential Functions Lead with Vision: Develop and implement
strategic plans to support our upcoming fitness and wellness
expansion, ensuring we continue to meet the needs of our community.
Engage with Community: Foster strong relationships with local
businesses, schools, and residents to enhance our impact and
visibility. Inspire and Manage: Lead a dedicated team of staff and
volunteers, creating a positive and collaborative work environment.
Oversee Programs: Manage a variety of programs including
Afterschool, Summer Camp, year-round competitive swim teams, and
Active Older Adult activities. Drive Success: Develop strategies
for membership growth, fundraising, and program development,
working towards an annual campaign goal of $60,000 from 150 donors.
