Details As a Permanent School Physical Therapist, your primary
responsibilities will include: 1. Evaluating students' gross motor
and developmental needs, and designing individualized treatment
plans to enhance their physical health and academic success. 2.
Providing direct physical therapy services to students as indicated
in their IEP (Individualized Education Program) or 504 plan. 3.
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including educators,
parents, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a
comprehensive approach to student care. 4. Documenting all therapy
sessions, progress reports, and treatment plans in compliance with
school policies and procedures. 5. Participating in IEP meetings,
contributing valuable insights and professional recommendations
about students' physical therapy needs. 6. Providing training and
education to school staff and parents regarding physical therapy
strategies and interventions. 7. Staying updated on the latest
research, trends, and techniques in pediatric physical therapy.
Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need: 1. A
minimum of 1 years of professional experience as a Physical
Therapist, preferably within a pediatric or school setting. 2. A
Master's degree or higher in Physical Therapy from an accredited
institution. 3. Current state licensure or eligibility for state
licensure as a Physical Therapist. 4. Experience in working with
children with diverse needs, including those with physical
disabilities, developmental delays, and learning difficulties. 5.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability
to work effectively with students, parents, and school staff. 6.
Strong problem-solving skills, creativity, and a high level of
initiative. 7. Knowledge of current laws and regulations related to
school-based physical therapy services. 8. Ability to manage a full
caseload and prioritize tasks effectively. 9. Proficiency in using
computer software and technology for documentation and
