Medical Administration Specialist Columbus, GA Led by a highly skilled team of anesthesiology and pain management doctors, The Nexus Pain Center in Columbus, LaGrange and Fayetteville Georgia, is a preeminent pain clinic providing their patients with innovative medical solutions and cutting-edge technologies. The Nexus Pain Center offers spinal-focused interventional pain management using the Boston Scientific Spinal Cord Stimulator and Stryker Radiofrequency tools, as well as nonsurgical options for pain and nonopioid medical therapies for those over the age of 18. These specialists pride themselves on their ability to give their patients the best care and service.We are looking for a responsible and mature medical administration specialist to assume the role in our administrative section that can work with several different elements. Administrative work includes procedure validation, validation of several of our clinics services as well as Workers Comp documentation and transmission. The _ideal candidate will have extensive background in the field of medical administration billing and certification. We use eClinicalWorks charting systems. The Skills, knowledge and experience is used in determining the starting wage._JOB DESCRIPTION:Major functional areas include; Spinal Cord Stimulator Trials SCS Implants/IPG Revisions and Removals Kyphoplasty/Vertiflex Peripheral Nerve Stimulator Trial Worker's Compensation POSITION AREAS OF ABILITY AND DUTIES INCLUDE: _Strong communication skills._ _Strong admirative skills_ Gather information for documentation via phone calls, charts and other means of communication Interact with the patient and the physician on a regular basis Must be able to follow the process for each product until complete Be able to develop documentation to support the procedure to include registration, admission and procedural information for the patient Communicate with patient dates, times and required payments needed for services Work with other departments and the surgery center for coordination of care and administrative documentation. Work closely and accurately with outside agencies in required documentation, forms and communicationsREQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to include superior interpersonal and patient contact skills and excellent telephone manners. General knowledge of office procedures, equipment, and comprehensive computer skills. Ability to follow doctors' orders and thorough knowledge of injection therapy practice. Work under minimal supervision and have ability to remain calm and exercise good judgment in stressful situations. EMR experience needed. EClinical (ECW) experience a plus. Previous experience as front office staff in physician's officeEDUCATION, LICENSE, OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma or equivalent Computer proficiency, including Excel, Word, Publisher, and PowerPoint required Certified Medical Assistant or Medical Billing a plusBENEFITS: Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance begins day 1.
