Responsible for the operation of radiographic equipment to
perform diagnostic radiographic exams. Education: Technical or
Vocational school plus up to 2 years of specialty training Licenses
& Certifications; *Healthcare Provider (CPR)*Radiologic
Technologist Qualifications: *CPR Certification within 30 days of
hire. *Prefer ARRT registry, will accept registry eligible
graduates. One year post-graduation will be given to obtain
registry. *Prefer graduate of AMA approved school of Radiologic
Area of Responsibilities
*Competence in scheduling exams in the CR unit, as well as the use
of PACS and Web PACS
*Demonstrates competency in patient care according to the age of
the patient and population served: neonate infant, toddler,
preschool, school age, adolescent, adult and geriatric.
*Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development.
*Is knowledgeable of hospital policy and procedures; safety, life
safety, security, equipment, utilities, disaster preparedness,
hazardous materials and waste. Follows standard precautions.
*Performs radiographic exams as assigned under the supervision of a
registered technologist, i.e., CT portables, C-arm, general and
emergency radiographic studies.
*Completes and assists in all orientation of new employees.
*Demonstrates knowledge of pain management and responds
*Demonstrates the ability to obtain and interpret information in
terms of patient's needs.
*Demonstrates understanding of the range of treatment needed by
these patients (age and diagnosis).
*Monitors and assures patient safety
*Performs quality exams consistently to meet standards set by the
*Responsible for assisting and keeping radiology equipment and
accessories in satisfactory operating condition.
*Responsible for assisting during fluoroscopic procedures and other
special type procedures.
*Responsible for CQI related duties and QA/QC duties as assigned.
