The Student Radiologic Technologist is responsible for the operation of x-ray equipment to perform diagnostic radiographic exams. Education High School Diploma plus 1 year vocational school Licenses & Certifications *Healthcare Provider (CPR) Qualifications *Must be currently enrolled in an accredited program for Radiologic Technology. *Must have completed a minimum 9 months of the Radiologic Technology Program. *Must maintain active status in Radiologic Technology Program. Requirements:
Area of Responsibilities
*Must work well with others as a team.
*Performs radiographic exams as assigned under supervision of a Registered Technologist.
*Responsible for individual continuing education to maintain registry.
*Responsible for proper equipment care & reporting of equipment failures.
*Responsible for QA QC duties as assigned.
*Assists with orientation of new employees.
*Demonstrates competency in patient care according to the age of the patient & population served.
*Demonstrates knowledge of growth & development.
*Demonstrates the ability to obtain & interpret information in terms of patient's needs.
*Demonstrates understanding of the range of treatment needed by these patients (age & diagnosis).
*Perform other related duties as assigned.
*Responsible for CQI related duties. Compliance Statement
Employee performs within the prescribed limits of Tanner Health System's Ethics and Compliance program. Is responsible to detect, observe, and report compliance variances to their immediate supervisor, the Compliance Officer, or the Hotline. Education

*Under the direct supervision of the Radiologist, Department Director & the Chief Technologist, the Student Radiologic Technologist is responsible for the operation of x-ray equipment to perform diagnostic radiographic exams. Contact With Others
