searching for a Project Manager with experience in linear
construction and/or engineering and can exhibit a track record of
successfully leading project teams. This role will lead a mix of
internal and contract track leads in the execution of natural gas
pipeline projects throughout Georgia. While decision making and
execution falls to the individual tracks, project management is
responsible to ensure the project achieves its objective on
schedule, within the company quality standards, on budget and
safely. This includes leading scope development discussions,
contracting strategy and RFP efforts, reporting progress during
execution, tracking changes, and providing reporting to management
throughout the lifecycle of the project. Candidates must have
experience working in client-facing environments, be highly
organized, and have strong communication and presentation skills.
Experience Candidates are required to have experience and/or high
working knowledge in the following areas: · General Management o
Developing innovative solutions o Creating and maintaining
comprehensive project documentation · Scoping o Developing project
objectives and strategies o Leading estimating discussions on
projects with limited design work complete · Bid process management
o Experience in developing and managing contractor Scopes of Work o
Compiling RFP guidelines and assist in qualification and selection
of contractors o Performing bid variance analysis · Controls o
Scheduling § Experience in schedule development § Tracking project
resource availability § Verifying schedules based on actual
progress § Expediting Schedule and project delivery milestones o
Cost Control § Thorough understanding of cost management practices
§ Cost variance analysis and reporting § Managing multiyear
projects to annualized budgets § Reviewing and approving change
orders o Risk § Managing project risks and minimize Owner's
exposure § Facilitating the resolution of all project issues ·
Execution o Ensuring projects are delivered on-time, within scope
and within budget o Working with construction management and
contractors for daily / weekly progress o Addressing issues as they
arise, calling ad hoc team meetings, vetting solutions and driving
resolution o Maintain daily interactions with the client,
designers, stakeholders, contractors, inspectors, and local
authorities o Manage clear and consistent communications with
project stakeholders o Compile monthly reporting and presenting
project progress to management o Leading stage-gate review meetings
with leadership Desired Skills & Experience Education: BA/BS in
Project Management, Construction Management or related Engineering
Field or equivalent industry experience Required Experience: ·
Linear construction experience required, Energy & Natural gas
experience preferred · 5 plus years project management experience ·
Great organizational skills and attention to detail · Thoroughly
understands and utilizes Information Technology in the performance
of their work including Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite Other
Requirements: Candidates must have current US work authorization to
work for any US employer without needed sponsorship now or at any
time in the future.
