All inquiries will be handled with strict confidentiality.Benefits & Extras:High-visibility executive role reporting directly to the SEIB BoardOpportunity to succeed a respected CEO with more than 30years of leadershipDirect influence over vendor strategy, compliance, and plan designCollaborate with a deeply experienced, mission-aligned executive teamCompensation package aligned with senior executive leadership (DOE)What You'll Be Doing:Leading the administration of statutory employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, and wellnessRepresenting SEIB before legislative and executive branch officialsManaging multimillion-dollar vendor contracts and ensuring regulatory compliance (HIPAA, ACA, HITECH, CAA)Driving data-informed decisions around cost containment, plan optimization, and population health outcomesGuiding a high-performing, stability-focused leadership team through a major succession momentReporting directly to the Board and presenting operational updates with transparency and strategic clarityWhat You'll Need to Be Considered:Executive leadership experience in a health plan, public benefits agency, or related environmentTrack record of success in a politically nuanced or publicly governed organizationStrong understanding of regulatory compliance, including ACA, HIPAA, and other health plan mandatesExperience managing vendor performance, contract negotiations, and public procurement processesAbility to lead with stability, clarity, and a long-range view of public serviceWhat Could Set You Apart:Prior CEO, COO, or Executive Director-level experience in a state health plan or large-scale public benefit systemExperience working with Boards, state legislatures, or oversight bodiesA leadership style rooted in integrity, institutional trust, and operational excellence
