and connected car. MISSION We are seeking a dynamic and experienced
Product Validation Lab Manager to lead our lab operations. The
successful candidate will be responsible for managing all product
validation activities, resources, and ensuring that all validation
processes are completed accurately, within budget, and on time.
This role requires a proactive leader who can thrive in a
fast-paced environment and is willing to work unusual hours and
travel as needed. RESPONSIBILITIES & ACTIVITIES Oversee all testing
activities, including development projects, warranty or failure
analysis, and supporting research projects. Define, maintain, and
report all lab budgets (capital, development hours, expense). Set
and implement goals and objectives for the laboratory to support
development and corporate goals. Lead, manage, and develop
Engineers, Team Leaders, and Specialists. Ensure laboratory quality
systems comply with all quality standards. Maintain safety systems
in accordance with global safety standards and applicable
regulations. Develop long-term forecasts for workload, budget,
equipment, and skill-set needs. Collaborate with purchasing to
develop strategies for sourcing test fixtures, equipment and
services. Interface with cross-functional managers to determine
work priority and improve internal processes. Track and communicate
laboratory performance metrics to upper management. Represent the
North America region in relevant global initiatives. Conduct
training seminars for company and customers as required.
Participate in continuous improvement and corrective action
activities. Ensure compliance with all work rules, policies,
procedures, and safety regulations. COMPETENCIES & REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.
5 years of experience in product or materials testing. 3 years of
supervisory or managerial experience. Must be authorized to work in
the United States without the requirement for sponsorship or
transfer of Visa now or at any time in the future. Experience with
automotive parts validation, preferably in fuel and SCR systems.
Strong leadership and team management skills, including driving a
team towards defined goals, coaching and active listening skills.
Knowledge of DVP&R, DOE, DFMEA, IATF 16949, and ISO 17025.
Ability to define and manage schedules using standard scheduling
tools. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong
analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot and provide
corrective actions. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel,
PowerPoint). Flexibility, dependability, and creativity. As a
