Technician
Job Summary:
The Survey CAD Technician performs tasks in Civil 3D to support
construction, including processing various types of base data, from
conventional survey, GPS survey, and aerial photogrammetry and
lidar, as needed for layout of site development, including the
computation of points for survey construction layout, and drafting
as-built surveys.
Essential Responsibilities:
Work with Survey Project Manager and Survey Project Surveyor to
prioritize CAD tasks, as needed for construction layout, as-built
surveys, and reduction of data for boundary and topographic
surveys.
Active part in QA/QC program for survey department.
Maintain records of office documents and final surveys and of
completed fieldwork.
Stay updated on industry advancements, best practices and
regulations related to CAD techniques and technology.
Qualifications:
2+ years of relevant experience working within CAD required.
Associate degree or technical schooling in CAD or drafting software
is preferred, but not required
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to
detail, and ability to work independently.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced
environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
