The Family Office Investment Analyst exists to support the
Investment group through research and development of
recommendations to portfolio managers. All research and
recommendations are geared toward Ultra-High Net Worth Investors
and requires the Investment Analyst to: 1) utilize investment
knowledge and analytical background to research, track, and monitor
external managers and funds, asset allocation, market conditions,
and trading decisions; 2) conduct a variety of quantitative and
qualitative research and perform analysis on any or all available
types of securities; 3) provide ongoing coverage of assigned asset
classes or strategies; 4) assists in analyzing the composition of
investment portfolios and the development of recommended portfolio
strategies to fulfill investment responsibilities; 5) review and
analyze client investment exposure levels, investment plans, and
market conditions to derive recommendation for client assets; 6)
analyzes various forms of information, provide input, and
contribute to some or all communication to the team and/or client;
and 7) provide analytical support and assistance to The Family
Office which may include, but is not limited to, initial review,
recommendation, creation, implementation, documentation,
monitoring, and communication of client portfolios. The Investment
Analyst is expected to be knowledgeable of investment software and
solutions and stay abreast of trends within the industry and to
contribute to the team accordingly.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Work with Investments group to support investment research. This
includes market/economic research, creation of charts, and due
diligence of outside investment managers to help with the
development of asset allocation changes to established investment
models. Compile market and economic data into actionable research
reports and spreadsheets.
Assist in the monitoring of established investment models and
existing public and private investment managers. Take existing
manager and investment model allocations and build out a template
that can be automated. Run analytical reports to display risk and

Conduct performance and data analysis, fund research and selection,
develop recommendations, and support overall client activities.
Conduct research; collect and organize fund and investment data
from various sources; use multiple methods, concepts and systems to
analyze data; ensure the appropriate level of due diligence is
performed, and risk is identified; consider and mitigate risk in
the best interest of the company and the client.
Present research data to various committees and senior management
to aid in the decision-making process. Help prepare for new manager
due diligence, calls, write ups, and collection of supporting
documentation. Assist with execution of new manager implementation
Stay aware of trends, company, and regulatory changes that governs
the way business is conducted. Work with management to assess the
impact of any changes and recommend appropriate course of action to
ensure continuous compliance. Ensure all related documents are
updated accordingly and disseminated promptly.
May serve as the subject matter expert for the area under coverage.
Present investment recommendations to the team. Develop and
maintain advanced knowledge of portfolio risk modeling techniques
and financial analysis methodologies as part of the investment
Collaborate with senior team members in developing materials for
internal and external communications and market portfolio
Calculate and monitor the performance attribution and
characteristics of several different investment products spanning
fixed income, equities, and asset allocation. Conduct analysis and

Assist in maintaining, modifying, and reporting performance
attributes and statistics of existing quantitative models and
potentially develop in-house models based on capacity. Assists with
management and quantification of risk exposures and support
investment decisions across investment portfolios. Track financial
markets and macro-economic data in support of both strategic and
tactical asset allocation decisions.
At the direction of Portfolio Managers, build new investment
proposals for prospects and new clients utilizing Excel,
PowerPoint, and other programs. Model proposed allocations and
scenario analysis. Update charts and bullet points for investment
section of pitch books. Build reports/books for client or other
related meetings. Participate in client investment review
For clients with a preference towards socially responsible
investing, screen and help build out equity portfolios at the
direction of Portfolio Managers
Calculate and enter trades on investment platform, monitor cash
flows and raise/invest cash as needed, rebalance and move
securities and money as required. Ensure all trades and related
activates are following company compliance and regulatory
Provide direct support to Portfolio Managers regarding investment
strategies including portfolio maintenance, client communication,
tactical portfolio positioning, and investment changes.
Assist Portfolio Managers in researching trade issues including
scanning and filing documentation as required.
Provide asset and performance reporting to clients as

marketing and sales meetings as appropriate. Generate portfolio

Participate or take lead on various projects for the Investment
group or Family Office team.
Maintain an accurate and quick reference library/database.
May be asked to develop and calculate investment performance models
and composites. Prepare and presents statistical, financial, and
other trend data to senior management or Investment team. Interpret
the data and provide explanations, recommendation, or assumptions
for considerations. Prepare periodic written analysis on investment
performance and evaluations.
Each team member is expected to be aware of risk within their
functional area. This includes observing all policies, procedures,
laws, regulations and risk limits specific to their role.
