Job Description:
Senior Accountant Our client that is a property management and
real estate developer both locally and nationwide is looking for a
Senior Accountant who will play a key role in the financial
operations and reporting. This position will start with a focus on
core accounting tasks and gradually transition into more technical
responsibilities. Key duties include: Responsibilities Prepare and
post journal entries, including accruals, for accurate financial
reporting. Perform bank reconciliations and oversee cash management
processes. Assist with financial reporting and analysis, including
cash flow management and monthly close processes. Support the
30-day close process for complex financial reporting, ensuring
accuracy and timeliness. Maintain the fixed assets register and
assist with related accounting. Provide backup support for the MRI
system and collaborate with internal and property teams. Utilize
tools like Argus, Excel, AvidXchange, and Spreadsheet Server to
streamline reporting and data analysis. Collaborate with the asset
management and property teams to support operations, including
entities like Camp David and other properties. Work closely with
the tax and cost accounting teams to ensure compliance and
accuracy. Provide support for job costing and other accounting
functions as needed. Ideal qualifications for the Senior Accountant
3 years of accounting experience, Bachelors Degree Strong
background in real estate accounting, with experience managing
complex portfolios that go beyond property management to include
construction and multifaceted property operations. Proficiency with
ERP systems; familiarity with MRI is a significant advantage.
Demonstrated expertise as an Excel super user, including advanced
formulas, data analysis, and integrations. Proven ability to
navigate and handle the complexities of large-scale operations with
numerous properties and diverse accounting requirements.
