Job Description:
Senior Accountant Atlanta, GA Aerospace Industry Salary:
$100,000 to $145,000 The Senior Accountant plays a critical role
within the Accounting Department, with responsibilities across
accounts receivable, accounts payable, revenue recognition, and
monthly financial close. This position supports accurate financial
reporting, ensures reconciliation between the inventory subledger
and general ledger, and serves as a key liaison among internal
departments and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: The
Senior Accountant will reconcile revenue and expense data from the
inventory management system to the general ledger and ensure proper
revenue recognition Analyze and process sales data for
completeness, accruals, and accuracy. Serve as the point of contact
for AR functions, including managing collections, reviewing credit
limits, and enforcing credit policies. As a Senior Accountant ,
you'll lead internal AR meetings and provide updates to management
on collections and cash flow. Collaborate with internal teams to
support accurate shipping, billing, and accounting transactions.
Support monthly and year-end close by preparing journal entries and
maintaining the closing checklist. The Senior Accountant will
assist with financial reporting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
Process AP invoices, provide oversight on GL coding, and assist
with fixed asset reconciliation and capital expenditures. Complete
internal reports, audit schedules, and statistical summaries
related to company financials. Supervise interns or junior staff
when applicable and assist in their development under the guidance
of the Senior Accountant . Qualifications: Education : Bachelor's
degree in Accounting (required); CPA/CMA preferred Experience : 3-5
years in accounting; prior audit experience is a plus and
beneficial to the Senior Accountant role Systems : Proficiency in
Microsoft Excel; experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP or similar
ERP is a plus Key Competencies : Strong analytical and
